Both are valid concerns and both are outside Epp's scope. Radon levels can change when a crawl is sealed. Epp recommends a radon test before and 90 days after sealing, and Epp coordinates referrals to certified radon mitigators when results exceed 4 pCi/L. Combustion air for furnaces or water heaters in or near the crawl is handled by the HVAC contractor under current code (typically combustion-air ducts to exterior).
