Foundation Repair in Sioux City, IA
The foundation at this Sioux City property showed signs of differential settlement common to Iowa's glacial clay soils, which retain moisture unevenly and cause uneven foundation movement over time. The before photos revealed a white concrete block foundation wall with visible surface discoloration and grading issues, along with moisture concerns indicated by darker soil patches near the structure. The surrounding yard and retaining wall showed the site conditions that required comprehensive drainage and foundation stabilization work.
Epp Foundation Repair addressed the settlement and moisture issues through push piers, void fill beneath the concrete slab, and yard drainage installation. The during photos documented concrete removal and preparation of the basement floor, placement of crushed stone for void-fill support, and preparation of the foundation wall openings for injection work, along with installation of a perimeter drainage system. The after photo shows the exterior foundation with completed grading and soil backfill, restoring proper drainage and structural support. This project was thoroughly documented across 3 site visits with 60 on-site photos and 2 crew members recording the work.
Completed and documented on site by Epp Foundation Repair’s field crew. Serving Iowa homeowners since 1994.
