Basement Waterproofing in Topeka, KS
The foundation at this Topeka home was experiencing active water intrusion and pooling along the basement walls, a common problem in Shawnee County where clay soils with high shrink-swell ratings create drainage challenges and structural stress. The BEFORE photos documented standing water and soil erosion at the foundation base, indicating that moisture was compromising both the integrity of the foundation and the usability of the basement space.
Epp Foundation Repair addressed the water intrusion through waterproofing and interior drainage work, installing a complete drainage system with granular void-fill and a sump pump to manage water flow away from the foundation. The crew also installed helical piers to stabilize and support the foundation structure. The finished system includes a protective runner mat over the drainage channel, creating a clean and functional basement environment. This project was fully documented across 4 site visits with 154 on-site photos and work performed by 3 crew members.
Completed and documented on site by Epp Foundation Repair’s field crew. Serving Kansas homeowners since 1994.
